Make yourself

At home.completely moved in, now. I unpacked a fair bit, abut am trying hard not too unpack too much. After all, I am only staying here for 1.5 months.
Don’t know if you can tell or not, but I’m using my blackberry to write this post. Pretty cool, eh?
The only reason it’s on my bb is because I currently don’t have wireless here. Chris never gave me the password, etc. On the bright side, I am studying/chilling in my room and whatnot. And I have this bb so I’m not totally disconnected.
Well, just wanted to test this out. Back to studying.

La Jolla, ho!

So, my mom and I finally made it to La Jolla, Friday evening.

We left around 9:30 AM to pick up lunch, and finally hit the highway around 10 AM.

Most of the ride was okay, at least until we hit L.A. Los Angeles traffic bites the big one. We sat in traffic from about 14.00 until maybe 17.00, and then we encountered EVEN MORE traffic. Didn’t reach the hotel until around 19.00.
I slept for most of it while my poor Mom drove.

When we finally got there, we checked in, and then went to go look for my place. Found it. It’s really nice! Too bad I can’t stay there for the year. Anyway, we loaded my stuff in, and then went to dinner. Came back and just relaxed.

Today, we took our time getting up and going out. I picked up some books for class, and then we ended up SHOPPING. I wasn’t going to. I wasn’t planning on it. But my mom wanted to, so we went. I ended up buying stuff even though I (nearly) swore that I wouldn’t.
I blame my mom for this. She can say no, but she doesn’t.

On the bright side, we took care of most of the errands today.

Classes draw nearer and nearer and I am becoming more and more nervous/scared. I fear making rookie mistakes as a senior. I know where my classes are, for the most part, but I fear making other mistakes related to time and other little things that have tripped me up in the past. I just want to do well and enjoy it here.

I’m sad that I won’t be in this super nice hotel anymore, and that I am away from home and family for a while. I just got home, dammit.

My solace is friends. I am looking forward to seeing and catching up with so many people!
Also, I will try my best to busy myself, be it with school or trying to make life enjoyable here.

I hope the fact that it’s summer will help me get through, as well as other little things.

Please let this summer be good!

Summer = over?

But it’s too soon~!

It feels that way, though, since I’m heading down to SD for summer school.

Driving down this morning. Should really sleep soon. Just lamenting about how it all feels like it’s ending even before it really felt like summer.

However, I can’t complain. I’ve been off for most of the month, and the weather has been good. Summer Session I will hopefully go fantastically.

I now own a Canon DSL Rebel XSi for my Photography class, as well as a beautiful new Blackberry Curve.

I’m spoiled, I know >.<

Time to work hard, play hard, and just suck it up and enjoy life, even if it is in La Jolla (which usually brings on feelings of dread, cuz it means school–even though the area is gorgeous).

Here goes nothing…

Now, I want to go to Vietnam.

Just finished watching Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations: Vietnam.” Makes me hungry and I just had breakfast. I also had Pho the other day, which made me a bit nauseous. Not sure why. Might’ve been too greasy. It was good, though. So good :3

Anyway, here are some pics from the past few days.

My first In-N-Out burger, back from Denmark.

The crew, l-r: Travis, Selina, Guy, Paul, Daniel, Jamie.

Outside of Boudin Bakery. Man working there carried out a sourdough alligator (crocodile?).

It was super windy. Wore my jacket like a cape. Tried to get a pic of me pretending to fly, but the wind died down as soon as I whipped the camera out.

Dinner for buddies. Shepherd’s pie, salad, & sangria. Later, fried rice and pie were added.

Santa Cruz was meh, but it was nice to go back, I suppose; remembered a few things from my childhood.

Time to go marinate some ground beef for lunch >.> And back to packing…*sigh*

Home Sweet Home

I’ve been home since last Thursday and it’s felt pretty fantastic. It’s a big relief to be home, even though I really miss CPH and all my friends there/I met there.

Since my return, I’ve been hanging out a lot with my friends.

Had my first In-N-Out burger in over a year on Thursday.

Friday:  Went to watch “Star Trek” with Daniel, Travis, Guy, Adam, Selina, Paul, and Paul’s brother. It was sold out (after a being out for a month!), so we ended up watching “Year One.” Wow…low humour. It had its moments and a star-studded cast, but still…it was pretty lame.

Saturday: I went to SF with Travis, Guy, Selina, Paul, Jamie, & Daniel. We walked about 8 mi. and my feet hurt so much the following day.

Sunday: Breakfast @ Psycho Doughnuts.

Monday: Lunch @ an Indian Buffet.

Tuesday: Lunch @ a Pho place.

Today: I AM GOING TO THE BEACH! Whooooo!

Okay, time to go get ready :3

Mulighed? What?

Hello world!
Hehe, it was obligatory.

I created another blog on a whim, just cuz I realized that I won’t be blogging so much for KU anymore/at all (after a while).
I’m back to life in America and I figured I should still document my life, as I take my previous experiences and incorporate them into my daily grind (or what have you now).

I really fear boredom. My aim of this blog is to write about fun/interesting things that I’ve done, or would like to share with whoever reads this. I guess this blog will kind of serve to motivate me to live life interestingly, so I am not regretful of anything. I need to take the opportunities that come my way and create my own, to make life more enjoyable for myself.

Btw, “mulighed” is pronounced “moo-lee-hill” and it means “opportunity” in Danish. Why not? I just kind of threw things around and came across this idea. Might as well run with it. At least i don’t have to type “8032802” next to it, or whatever :]
